I joined the Borusan Cat family in 2021 as an SMCS administrator for the ‘Aluminum of Kazakhstan’ project. I have always been attracted to men's professions, always interested in construction machines.

I have heard about the Borusan Cat more than once from friends and acquaintances. When I found out that there was an opening for a teammate in a new project, I immediately prepared my resume and sent it for evaluation. I got the job and I got into a great team, where wonderful, responsive people work. Over time, I became more and more interested about our equipment and about we serve. Then I began to ask a lot of questions, I wanted to know all the details.

My interest was noticed by our project manager Dmitry Ustinov and project supervisor Roman Tkachuk. After discussing my aspirations for learning and development, they supported me and open me a path that I get training from our engineers Alexey Shlyundt and Ilya Kotov in my spare time from my immediate duties.

At the end of 2023, my name was on the list of colleagues who passed the certification for “Level 1 Mechanic”, which includes questions on Contamination Control, Bolts and Threads, SIS2, Machine Systems, Sealing and Technical English. I passed the certification on an equal basis with my colleagues by proving my knowledge on the topics and successfully received my confirmation form.

To this date, I am the only girl in our company who has been tested for “Level 1 Mechanic”. Such victories motivate and give a flood of strength and energy to go forward! Additionally, I have a lot of knowledge that I can pass on to my son in the future😊

I am glad that my journey in our company begins with this experience on this project since everyone in our team answered all of my questions and always helped me. Thank you very much to all of them for their understanding and patience! Of course, there is still a lot of interesting things to learn, and I do not want to stop there, I want take steps towards my purpose and replenish the piggy bank of my knowledge.

I would like to end my article with few sentences to congratulate March 8th International Women's Day. Sometimes, the roads ahead can be longer or more challenging than they should be. But you know, in the end, we realize once again that we are stronger than we think and that nothing can stop us!  In my own story, thanks to our company's support for gender equality, I take a step towards my dream. We achieve what we set our minds to and never give up, that makes us invincible.

Happy March 8th International Women's Day! Shine, Develop and Be Always Happy!
