What Do We Do for Sustainability at Borusan Cat?

At Borusan Cat, sustainability forms the basis of the actions we take within the company. We are moving forward in line with our company’s purpose statement "We Create Solutions for a Better World" with the projects, actions, and improvements we take in the field of climate, which is one of our focus areas. We evaluate every step we take within the framework of sustainability and aim to benefit the environment and the world.

With the composite pallets we use in our Ankara facility/location, we prevent the need for wood cutting for wooden pallets. With the improvements we made to our Gebze CRC facility, such as the electricity tariff change and air systems improvements, which have low cost and high environmental benefits, we save much more than the investment cost on an annual basis.

With our energy transformation projects, we have managed to reduce over 3,100 tons of carbon emissions, and we continue to develop and implement new ideas to further reduce emissions. In our revision centers, we create $100 million in value by extending the life of old parts and recycling over 6,500 tons of metal. With our efficiency-oriented water practices, we save over 121 thousand liters of water annually.
